Steering Committee
The Committee
The steering committee of the Define community consists of industry actors that share a genuine belief in a common digital language and want to be a part of moving the industry into the future by utilising standards-based data templates and shared contexts.
The steering committee is committed to the development of the Define tool to the best interest of the construction industry. The committee has up to eight members in addition to two representatives from Cobuilder serving as administrative support.
The steering committee is currently being established and additional information about committee members will be presented on this page.

Mandate
The role of the steering committee is to secure that Define is developed and maintained according to the interest of the global construction industry and in compliance with all relevant international and European standards for managing construction data.
Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Decisions and suggestions on the administration and further development of Define
- Decisions on routines and agreements regarding quality of the content
The committee will meet 2-4 times a year to process and handle any topics coming from the community members. In-between these meetings, the steering committee will keep a dialogue with the Define community to gather input and to educate them in the use of Define.
The committee will advise Cobuilder, the software provider in charge of Define maintenance, on what Define users need and how they see the future development of the tool.
