Creating a Unit

We advise you to choose the unit for your property from the ones already provided by Cobuilder. If you do not find the unit you are after in the Units list, you can contact us at support@cobuilder.no or create one yourself by providing data for the 7 base quantities according to the International System of Quantities described in ISO 80000.

Go to Units from the menu to the left.

Search for the unit you are after and click Enter.

If you do not find the unit, click on Create unit.

In the next pane, write its name and definition (for definition just write N.A., because in the future this field will be removed from the system).

You can also add short names, user definitions and examples but it is not mandatory.

Switch to the next tab – Attributes.

Add the Domain – based on that the proper authority will review your unit upon submitting it.

Proceed with Dimensions. Here you should provide data for the 7 base quantities according to the International System of Quantities described in ISO 80000. If you have difficulties with it, contact us at support@cobuilder.no and we will assist you further.

Otherwise, you also can copy the dimensions from another similar unit. Click on Copy from unit.

In the next pane, search for similar unit from which you can copy the dimensions.

Select the unit and click Copy from unit.

When you are ready, click on Send for approval.

You can also save it for later by clicking on Save draft.

NB. Once the Unit is approved by the Domain experts you will not be able to change it.
