The Portuguese construction industry has made a big step towards its digital transformation. The GrowingCircle project – an international initiative between Portugal and Norway to set up a digital product catalogue in Portuguese and promote digitalisation – has now evolved into producing a Portuguese national data dictionary.

The Swedish woodworking industry adopts a common digital language

Swedish Wood is implementing the data dictionary, Define, to develop a standards-based digital language for describing wood products. The goal is to improve collaboration within the industry as well as to facilitate free information flow across the construction supply chain.

BSI and Cobuilder have signed an agreement to allow access to machine-interpretable standards information for the British and international built environment. The end goal is to help the sector strengthen collaboration and get closer to carbon neutrality.
