Mapping properties in a Data Template

There is no single data structure applicable for data exchange for all needs of the construction industry. Some data structures, made for specific purposes, have gained more traction than others.

The mapping functionality enables the users to express data according to non-dictionary structures (IFC, Revit, etc.). Find the appropriate Data Template by using the different options for filtering.

Make sure you are viewing the last approved version of the Data Template.

NB! Mappings cannot be created on old, draft or pending Data Template versions.

1.      Open the Data Template and go to the Mappings tab and click the Edit button.

Here you will see a list of all properties in the Data Template and their mappings to classifications if such are already available.

2.      Select the one or more properties in order to edit their mappings and click Edit.

Only the common mappings will be displayed if multiple properties are selected and the changes to the mappings will be applied to the whole selection.

3.      Select a Classification and relevant classification codes that can be related to the properties.

4.      Review and Save the applied changes.

NB! Mappings do not trigger a new template version and can be done at any time with approved Data Templates.
